Edirol R-09

Here I am at 1am on Sunday morning and can't sleep so thought I would blog about my new bit of kit. I purchased an Edirol R-09 to record some of the activities this week at TWL christmas party. I hope that the mix down will make it onto a podcast.

This unit worked very well. It only arrived on the day I used it in the evening. There was no hassle working out how to get it working and the quality was amazing. In a very noisy room with the external Edirol CS15 mic the results were very good. Will be using this bit of kit all over the place in 07 - watch out for that knock on the door!

TWL Christmas Party

Just got back from TWL christmas party. A good night was had by all I think? Lots of speculation about who TWL are and on my count about half think it is a male PR and the other a female. A number of people think it is a committee of people? Who knows! The only negative of the night was a director from Spark who shall remain nameless, knocking over a complete tray of beer and wine and not even offering to get some more!

A good turn out from Edelman, H & K, Inferno, Spark, Four, Text100, VNU, Fullrun, Freelancers and many other probabay not named!

Imagine...

Did anyone see this last night. Alan Yentob was giving an overview of some of the internet social media conversations, spaces and movements. I enjoyed it and was pleased to see second life in there at the end.

Hard Work!

I am glad to say that my amazing wife Lydia is getting better slowly but surely. The last 3 weeks have been very tough on both of us. I have been running a business whilst looking after 4 children and a sick wife! At times I have felt like I was just about to collapse on the floor exhausted! I really feel for single parents. With 2 parents looking after 4 is hard but with 1 out of action it is near on impossible. A big thank you goes out to friends and family who have been there when we needed them. Food made and looking after Children - a real blessing.

Lydia is desperate to get back up and at full speed with family and business. It will take a few more weeks - Lydia are you listening!!!!

Christmas is only a few weeks away now and we are looking forward to extra time with friends and family.
