Well here I am on a Sat night watching X factor with Lydia my amazing wife. Funny really as both of us keep grabbing the notebook and blogging.
Yesterday was great at the Delivering the New PR conference. The day as normal started early and I went off to take our 4 kids to breakfast club and nursery. Lydia went on ahead as she was opening the conference. I arrived around 10am and it was good to see the eager to learn PR folk networking.
Philip Young, Tom Murphy, Neville Hobson, Stuart Bruce and Chris Rushdon passed the baton but I think Lydia won a few hearts and minds with her opening 5 mins. She really is very passionate about this stuff. It was good to see a few other people quaking with excitement about the possibilities for the PR toolkit.
For me I was interested in the new stuff since the last conference in London. The discussion around second life was interesting and Neville Hobson was very helpful. He talked about Crayon and setting up in second life. I signed up for second life on my return home, visited the crayon hq and met someone who was going to introduce me to a PR looking for a new role, amazing really. Locating talent in this virtual world will be fun!
I managed to network with a few people before racing home again to pick up kids and sort them out at home.
Much to think about and take action on !
Steve, good to see you back blogging again.
